Our skilled team of project managers, coordinators, estimators, foremen, and certified installers are experienced in all areas of plumbing, HVAC, controls, fire protection, air conditioning/refrigeration, and fuel systems. With our class “A” ticket we are able to work on district energy systems, large boilers, and pressure vessels.

ABOUT US
Dual Mechanical Limited is a privately-owned company founded in 1978 by John Collett. Throughout the next decade, John grew Dual focusing on commercial projects, eventually venturing into institutional projects, such as schools and hospitals.
In 1990 John’s son Jason began his plumbing apprenticeship and after receiving his journeyman ticket in 1994, came into the office as a junior estimator and worked his way up to head estimator/vice president. Jason initiated the use of digital estimating, providing more accurate and detailed estimates as the company was expanding into larger and design build projects.
John and Jason joined as partners in the business in 2009. In 2012 Jason bought out John, then in 2019 Mike and Joe Collins joined as partners.
Dual has completed numerous institutional, industrial, and specialty design build projects such as the Annacis Centre for Research and Education (wastewater treatment) and the Seabreeze Farms Biogas Facility (methane gas production), both of which won Dual the VRCA Gold Award.

Dual employs a fluctuating field crew of 30 to 40 skilled plumbers and accommodates a full range of bid spec, design-build, design assist, custom and complex mechanical systems in commercial, institutional, and industrial projects, many of which are LEED certified. Dual Mechanical’s employees are professional, dedicated, experienced and embrace a team based culture to ensure a high level of quality and cost effective solutions for our customers.
